How do I know if we'll be a good fit?

That is a great question - and an extremely important one! Decades of counseling research has proven that the relationship between client and counselor is one of the most influential aspects of how effective therapy will be for the client. After all, how much weight would you give a conversation with someone you trusted vs. someone you didn't?

I sincerely hope we are a good fit, but the reality is is that I am not everyone's cup of tea - and that is okay! I would much rather refer you to a counselor who I think can provide what you need instead of trudging through sessions where neither of us is seeing any benefit.
